browser, CSS only, menuing system that might be of interest to a few on this

Hey guys,

I have a page which I wrote using a gedit.  It works fine in Firefox and IE6
but in IE7 it doesn't work. The page is www.brokenpoet.org

I tested the page using:

http://validator.w3.org/ (for html 4.01)

and

http://www.websiteoptimization.com/ 

Both pages show the site is fine.

It took me forever to get it to function the way I wanted while keeping it
simple and quick.  I used code (as you will see) from sources on the net.

Any help would be appreciated.  I am self taught and don't really know that
much about webpage design (other than using Dreamweaver.)  I wanted to write
this one from scratch in a text editor for the 'purity' of it.
