[GLLUG] Wireless keyboard and mouse

I'm researching wireless keyboard / mouse combos for use with my Myth TV 
box.  I'm having a hard time finding information about effecitve range.  I 
tried a belkin but it only worked up to about 5 feet.  I want to be able to 
sit on my couch, about 12' away.

Does anyone have experience with a combo with that range?  If it played 
nice with linux, that would be a big plus.  I also would like ps/2 connections.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
