[GLLUG] HD tweaking?

Linux (or any other OS) won't "see" the cache.   It's there at the disk level,
making for faster reading of data, at least in theory.   If what you are
reading is already in that cache because of an earlier read then subsequent
reads are getting data from ram.  If you're  bouncing around on the disk
a lot then this isn't a help.  But its never slowed things down, and is at 
times a win.
