Yeah - I had that for a while at one point but the menu update was still fairly manual.  Which I don't mind but I am looking for something for my wife's laptop.  She's not really a computer person.  The laptop is older and I put ubuntu on it because it's easy to use but it's slow.  I thought xubuntu but she likes the look of fluxbox, but i don't think she has the patience to actually use it.  Fluxbuntu looked like it took care of a lot of the backend stuff for you.
