Interesting development.  While the article predicts the imminent demise
of Motorola because of this change, it's worth noting that wxWidgets has
been working to move into this same space, offering a compact version of
its widgets that is designed to run on phones and PDAs.  I don't know if
the compact version is ready for prime time yet, but I've seen apps that
looked pretty nice.
