[GLLUG] CRUX

2 problems: (1) missing grub config, (2) unclean filesystem.

The CRUX handbook SEEMS to be missing some important info.
http://crux.nu/Main/Handbook2-4

I followed the handbook. So I had chroot'd into the "/mnt", and all
commands worked ok. Then I simply executed "shutdown -r now", and wound
up with an "unclean" filesystem. I couldn't unmount "/mnt" cause it was
busy. :( (I don't know how it became unclean, 'cause I waited for it
to reboot.)

Then I tried to setup grub. I already had grub loaded on another
partition. I tried adding a "menu.lst" entry--problem was that the
Handbook was missing what lines were needed. (I've got a SATA primary
HD.) So I blindly tried this out:

title CRUX
root (hd0,6)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda7
boot

It died though, giving this error.
Kernel panic: not syncing: VFS: Unalbe to mount root fs on
unknown-block(0,0).

I tried searching online and got unrelated stuff. So this handbook must
be for experienced people who can "fill in the gaps". Help?
