[GLLUG] Can Netbooks read CD's

Hello,

Didn't know the answer to this but it sounded important, so I sent
the question to my son who answers below:


     Can netbooks read CDs, or should I look for a way to transfer images to
     memory sticks?


I just used this the other day for a buddy who has a netbook.

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Download a supported linux iso, point this application to it and it will 
create a bootable usb drive.  Works like a champ and you don't have to 
waste a cd.
