I'd like to share with the group a job posting that I'm advertising. Please feel free to forward this message to anyone that you feel may be qualified and interested.

Job Summary:
Will work for the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory 50% of the time and the Institute for Cyber Enabled Research the other 50%; NSCL time: will work with members of the nuclear theory group to develop and implement parallel computing applications of codes used for nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics; ICER time: user code will also be developed and supported at the High Performance Computer Center, including those that utilize graphical processing units (GPU) and general cluster computing.  

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, business, or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in software engineering, programming languages: C/C++ and Fortran, MPI parallel programming with OpenMPI and MVAPICH; experience developing code under the Linux operating system; experience in assisting users with programming needs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Desired Qualifications:
Strong communication skills; experience with Perl, Python, and Shell scripting; high performance computing knowledge of PBS scheduling; Matlab programming; NFS and other network file systems; ability to work in a team environment.  

* This is an off-date position funded through January 31, 2012.
