Just to be clear, scotch may be drunk in my presence in one of four forms:

Neat
With water
With ice
With unflavored club soda

"Local" status is automatically revoked for anybody caught using scotch 
as a mixer.  Also, you'll have to live with the taste, and scotch does 
not mix well.
