If you're not seeing a splash screen with install options on it, try
downloading the "Alternate install" option from Ubuntu. It's possible that
your computer can't display the graphical elements in the initial screen.
The alternate install CD lacks the Live CD component, but doesn't require
any graphical capabilities.
