[GLLUG] linux-user Digest, Vol 104, Issue 22

The class will meet on Monday nights, starting January 9, from 6:00 - 9:40 pm. A 20 minute break is usually scheduled at 7:00 pm. The class will run for 10 consecutive Mondays. Here are the student learning outcomes for this class:
 





The student will demonstrate, in written form, an understanding of the following concepts: 



1. 


Identify fundamental Linux and TCP/IP networking concepts.


2.

Setup and configure the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).


3.

Setup and configure the Domain Name System (DNS).


4.

Evaluate and debug a DNS implementation.


5.

Configure the Network File System (NFS).


6.

Identify and use basic remote administration services and tools.


7.

Compare NFS with other file system sharing programs and protocols.


8.

Build and use a basic Samba server in a mixed environment.


9.

Setup and configure an enterprise FTP Server.


10.

Setup and configure a World Wide Web server.


11.

Setup and configure an enterprise mail server.


12.

Configure a time server.


13.

Configure a VPN for remote file access.


14.

Configure a Squid based proxy server.

At Baker it most certainly does.  The only way you'd get edged out is if
somebody with experience and degrees is trying for the job.
