Thank you all for your expressions of sympathy.  I really sent my 
message because I thought it was funny that they only took old FreeBSD 
and Linux PCs.  I forgot to mention that the backpack they took is 
exactly like the one I've seen Eric S. Raymond carrying at Penguicon; 
same make, model, and color.  Identical!

So maybe there is something to Aleric's idea that they might be 
monitoring this mailing list.  I'm keeping my eye on all of you!

I wasn't too worried about anything happening to me, Ben.  I had my 
seventy-five pound dog with me.  Even skunks in the neighborhood run the 
other way when they see us coming.
