[GLLUG] Linux Mint 13 Maya: MATE Edition released

There is no reason for changing distro, nor running a old version, just
change desktop environment. If you like mate here are the steps to install
it in:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/ubuntu
precise main"

sudo apt-get install mate-archive-keyring

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install mate-core

sudo apt-get install mate-desktop-environment


In Fedora 

yum install
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/49862637/Mate-desktop/mate-desktop-fedora/releases/1
6/noarch/mate-desktop-release-16-5.fc16.noarch.rpm
yum groupinstall MATE-Desktop 


In Arch

/etc/pacman.conf

Then 

[mate]
# Official MATE repo:
Server = http://packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/archlinux/mate/$arch

After do a pacman update

pacman -Syy

and

pacman -Sff mate mate-extra
