[GLLUG] Python question

I am trying to build a Software Defined Radio. I have a very good software program called Quisk. It was a .tar.gz file and I was able to bring it into Ubuntu 12.04 and extract all the files into a directory. So  far so good. The program needs to be run with Python. That is installed into ubuntu. This is where i fall flat. How do I go about getting it to run like an application?

I do need help here, since i know no one who does any of this andvi have tried to look up the specific answer and i dont understand what i am reading. Thanks guys. Troy
