Um...  This is a mailing list.  It *should* be readable, as there have been
some very useful things posted here while I've been on it.

No one should ever, ever, ever think that a mailing list is private.  The
very fact that your mail goes to NN people on the list means it isn't
private, and each participant in the list could forward things to others,
or have a breach and have their emails stolen.

Perhaps it should be stated in an intro email, that this is archived?
