A great way to grow interest is having projects for kids. Parents come out
of the wood works for them. LMN's Soldering and Arduino Seminars are
popular. I have seen a "Python for Kids" book that is fairly popular. 

Perhaps there is a Linux for Kids syllabus that a mentor would like to
promote through GLLUG. Does not have to be Linux, either.
