Altair Engineering is happy to announce an Advance Training class for
HyperMesh - LS-DYNA interface. This class is specifically designed for
LS-DYNA HyperMesh user community in Michigan USA, Ontario and Quebec Canada.

Details:
Day/Date: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 
Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Only limited number of seats are available, so please register as soon as

This training class is hands on, one computer per student with ability to
run LS-DYNA. 
Following Topics will be covered in the training class 
Introduction of HyperMesh and LS-DYNA interface. 
1. Crushing Tubes problem 
	1: Prepare for Modeling 
	2: Creating material collectors 
	3: Define the section cards for the components 
	4: Define the boundary conditions 
	5: Defining the Contact between the tubes 
	6: Setting up the analysis run 
	7: Export the Dyna Deck and running the analysis 
2. Post Processing using HyperView 
The HyperView Screen Display 
The HyperView Menu 
	1: Open a d3plot file 
	2: Animating the Results and manipulating the view 
	3: Using View Controls 
Displaying results 
	4: Displaying the Results Contour 
Using the Display Control 
	5: Reviewing the Deformed Shape 
	6: Creating a measure plot 
	7: Saving the H3D file 

3. Airbag model 
	1: Retrieve the file and load the LS-DYNA keyword template 
	2: Define the airbag 
	3: Define the initial velocity for the head 
	4: Define the acceleration for the head 
	5: Define contact between airbag and head 
	6: Define the contact for the airbag 
	7: Define the contact between the RigidPlate and the Airbag 
	8: Define the *DEFORMABLE_TO_RIGID card 
	9: review the analysis parameters and export the LS-DYNA 

4. Post processing of Airbag model results 

5. Creating Joints 
	1: Retrieve a HyperMesh binary database 
	2: Creation of a spherical joint (*CONSTRAINED_JOINT_SPHERICAL) 
	3: Creation of a revolute joint (*CONSTRAINED_JOINT_REVOLUTE) 6.

	1: Connection using a tied nodes to surface contact 
	2: Connection using the *CONSTRAINED_NODAL_RIGID_BODY element type:

7. Bumper impacting a deformable barrier 
	1: Load a pre-defined HyperMesh file and select the LS-DYNA template

	2: Update the inertia properties of the Vehicle Mass 
	3: Definition of Boundary Conditions 
	Creation of Plot and Curves 
	4: Define Contacts 
	5: Database Cross Section Definition for LS-DYNA 
	6: Definition of a Rigid Wall (*RIGID_WALL_PLANAR_FINITE) 
	7: Setting up output requests 
	8: Review of output requests and other control cards definition 8.
