FROM:             Todd Wilson, Infrastructure Planning and Facilities

 

SUBJECT:         Engineering Building Electrical Utility Work 

 

Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., on Wednesday, November 25, Infrastructure
Planning and Facilities will temporarily shut down the electrical service to
the building. The emergency generator will provide minimum egress lighting
and power any receptacles fed from the standby power supply. 

 

All ventilation for fume hoods and air circulation will be down. Please make
all necessary preparations for sealing any toxic or noxious gases. Any
computers without a UPS would need to be powered down in advance of the 6
p.m. start.

 

PLEASE TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT BEFORE 6:00PM! NOT JUST PUT IT TO
SLEEP, BUT OFF. THIS INCLUDES PRINTERS, COPIERS, MONITORS, PC'S, LAPTOPS
ATTACHED TO THE BUILDING POWER, LAB EQUIPMENT THAT IS ELECTRONIC IN NATURE,
ETC.
