FOS,
If you are a speaker of Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Slovakian or
Indonesian, or know somebody who is, this paid temporary translation job
may be of interest. Please share widely!

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving program for children
in elementary school through college. Odyssey is looking for people who
speak Japanese, Chinese (mandarin and cantonese), Slovakian and
Indonesian, to help translate on-site for the Spontaneous Portion of the
Odyssey of the Mind competition. Training will be provided, and there
will be a paid stipend. Must be available for a training meeting from
1:30-4:30 on May 23, 2017 , and to work all or part of the day on May
25, 26, 27 (schedule to be determined at meeting). This translator
serves as the bridge between the judges and the team. The translator
needs to be fluent in the "conversational" language of the country for
which he/she is translating and English. Please contact Geoff Parkerson
