Dr. Sophie Holmes-Elliott's research focuses on the quantitative analysis of linguistic variation and change. Her work in language change and young speakers’ developmental shifts are especially germane to the theoretical goals of the MI Diaries project<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.mi-diaries.org/__;!!HXCxUKc!njzqfkaJQZW-Nrz8tFCL22n7DMN9KbvUbR8jnr9UHOzZb34LqdLzMUNZpeMM_LY3$> at the sociolinguistics lab.
