Often CmdrTaco will give that sort of thing a while to mirror and
settle before announcing.  So, it might be a day or two.  Then
again, he's a rabid Debian fan so maybe not.

(Personally I have little trouble keeping up with news like this,
being subscribed to 13 Debian mailing lists at last count.)
