Why?
I have found many other editors use spaces instead of an actually
"tab" character for indenting subsequent lines.
Yes, I'm sure a could have worded it differently, but from my own
experience, vi has been a fairly reliable way to modify the
/etc/bootptab file.
Definately NOT trying to invoke an editor war as they all have their
place and I use a few.
