On call?

wow....I'd have to say no. In my experience, being on call stinks. I used
to think it would be cool.....man, I get a spiffy text-pager with newsfeed
and the spiffy nextel i1000 plus, but it got old real quick (God I hope my
boss is not reading this:) )
Basically, depending on how stable the lab is, it could easily eat up a
major part of your free time, and much of your sleep.
Keep in mind though, that you would only be on call for a single lab and
with no automation, right? I am on call for a 6 state network with
automated connection monitoring, so maybe my view is a little lopsided.
