I was helping a friend of a friend setup SuSE (6.3) on their computer,
and it
has a Realtek 8139 card. we went into YaST and told it he have such a
card as eth0, exited, and it put the right stuff in /etc/modules.conf but
as far as I can tell never attempts to insmod it at boot. I would think
it should take the last step and do this, no?! What I did was plop
"insmod rtl8139.o" in /sbin/init.d/boot.local or something and it now
works as I would expect it to but if they think YaST makes networking easy
they are a little confused.. Anyone know if it should have done this for
me, or not?
