Your talking about the little pointer stick thats inbetween the "g" and
"h" right?  It was not as sensative to move as my Thinkpad's pointer.  I
actually had to push harder to make it move in the direction I wanted. 
It wasn't like I had to use a crowbar or anything, but after 8 hours or
so you could definitely tell and you actually had to make an effort to
move the mouse pointer, unlike my laptop.  Definitely a hardware issue
and not a software issue.
