APM Daemon in Mandrake

That's normal.  kapm-idled gets scheduled when there's nothing
else for the CPU to do; e.g., when the system is idle.  If it's
getting near 100% CPU then there's almost nothing else that the
system should be doing.  It's a good thing that it gets scheduled
if there's nothing to do, because it slows down the CPU, which
then runs cooler and uses less power.  This is a bigger deal on
laptops but still good for desktops.
