wierd traceroute results ???/

Well, let's see
The ip address of this first machine is 10.89.69.1 .  This implies it's part
of an internal network because 10.*.*.* is the reserved address space for
internal networks.

The IP address is at the start of a range of 255 address.  This might imply
that it is the default route for your logical network segment.  Most likely
(my guess) is that this is the default router that somebody hasn't bothered
giving a reverse name lookup, or that you might not be using the @home dns
servers and hence the reverse lookup isn't working right.

In other words, nothing unusual in my mind.

As for the game problems, you might be behind a firewall @home has setup to
block or severly throttle that specifc type of traffic, but that is again a
guess.
