At this point I can't get things going on the Visor end, it keeps
complaining about the serial port being in use. I've searched the
web, and the only solutions I've found (remove a file from the
palm, do some resets) don't seem to work. As far as the line speed,
etc., when I put the Visor in the cradle and hit the "hotsync"
button on the cradle, I can see stuff coming across the serial port
(using "cat /dev/cuaa0" I see line noise.) I've tried as many
different combinations of network settings that I can think of,
and I never see anything come across when trying to set up a ppp
connection. No initialization, no text (I've even tried setting
up a script that sends "hello"), no nothing. I'm wondering if its
trying to do something else weird and just not trying the serial
port the way I expect it to, or if its something else. The problem
is its really hard to debug this stuff on the Visor end. For example,
it says that the serial port is in use by another application, but
it doesn't say *which* application, and there doesn't appear to be
any way to find out. Of course now hotsyncs fail too, because
the serial port is "in use".
