...or, edit /etc/apmd_proxy ( /usr/sbin/apmd_proxy on SuSE ) and put "ifconfig
eth0 down" in the "suspend" section, and "ifconfig eth0 up" in the "resume"
section.  Fewer commands to type manually can be a very good thing.
