[The topic had drifted over to expansion possibilities.]

I just got a docking station for my new laptop, and I am struck
by the enormous expansion possibilities. The laptop itself has a
pair of PCMCIA slots. The docking station has:

	* Two more PCMCIA slots.

	* Room for two 5 1/4"-wide drives and an integrated IDE
          controller.

	* Two ISA/PCI combo slots.

	* Dual USB.

	* An integrated Ethernet card (in addition to the
          Fast Ethernet in the laptop itself).

	* Modem, though I can't seem to get it to work under
          Linux (in addition to the modem in the laptop itself).

	* Speakers, game port, blah blah blah.

This laptop + docking station is more expandable than a desktop!
(And I'm only paying $125 for the docking station, got it from a
friend.)
