Municipal Cable

Hi,

I'm brand new to this group, so I apologize if municipal cable in
Lansing was discussed already.  I'm going to contact Greg Starks, the
current chair of the Lansing Cable and Telecommunications Advisory
Board.  Lansing contract with AT&T runs out soon and he would like to
see the cable system turn into a municipal system like the BWL.  My
hometown of Wyandotte has had municipal cable for years and it keeps the
price down as well as responds better to suggestions.  I'd like to
possibly help volunteer my time to help get this idea into place.  If
anyone else finds this interesting, I will happily continue to post
about this topic on the listserv as I gather more information.
