Dreamcast stuff

I picked up a DC keyboard and mouse at Best Buy about 3 months ago, not sure
if they still stock them or not. Sometimes you can find them used at
GameHits, a second hand videogame store on West Saginaw, kinda next to the
Taco Bell. I haven't seen anyone locally selling the VGA boxes, have seen
them on some online stores, try a Google search. The same places usually
sell adapters that let you use PS/2 keyboards and mice on the DC. Haven't
had any experience with the adapters though so I can't vouch for how well
they work. As for the ethernet/broadband adapters, Sega only released them
in Japan. They were set to sell them here in the States but then Sega
pulled the plug on the DC. You can get them on Ebay but expect to pay good
money for them ($150-250). I think most people are buying/building the
special null modem serial cable (simple 3.3v logic <-> RS232 conversion,
uses a Maxim converter IC and some passive components) and running SLIP
between the DC and a Linux box.

Let me know how running Linux on the DC goes. I haven't had the time to
download/compile/burn cd yet and try it out and I'm interested on how well
it works. I really wanna try playing MAME on it using the controllers and
big screen TV. I also wanna scratch off the WinCE logo on it and find a
nice Linux sticker to put on the thing. If these things drop to ~$50 this
Christmas it would make a really cheap linux box. Maybe I should start
hacking out a Realtek ethernet interface for the DC so everyone could avoid
the gross price of the BB adapter. Damn I need more time..... :)

Does anywhere know a good place to get a Dreamcast keyboard/mouse/serial
cable/VGA adapter/(optimistic) broadband adapter? I've just bought one to
use
mainly as a Linux box (since it's the best way I can think of to get a
SuperH
box to test Qt/Embedded on) but I'm not sure where to get accessories - I
found a couple of places online with one or two of the things I need but
they
have a nasty habit of only shipping to my billing address (in Oslo, Norway)
or not liking my credit card (on the grounds that it's Norwegian).
