Books? Hmm. The PHP documentation which is provided with PHP is pretty good
in itself for describing how the language works. There is a small tutorial at
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/99/21/index2a.html for MySQL and PHP, but
this is more of a jumping-off point than a full reference. The O'Reilly book
on MySQL is about 2 years out of date, unfortunately, and their PHP book is a
"pocket reference" instead of a full guide like the Camel/Llama books. I did
find a set of likely-looking suspects at
http://www.php.net/books.php?type_lang=PHP_en , though. Several of the 21
books mentioned there mention MySQL as well as PHP. _MySQL/PHP Database
Applications_ by Greenspan and Bulger sounds like a good bet, but it might be
too basic for you... check Spamazon's review database just to make sure.
And of course, the best resource for these things is the code of others who
have been there. There are hundreds of PHP+MySQL projects on freshmeat.net,
so take a look there and see what's going on....
