well i haven't decided on the os yet, probably slackware or freebsd. I will be using the beowulf style. The clusters main purposes are for running distributed software most of the time, like (seti, folding)@home. I also want to learn how to use an MPI like pvm or something. I also have a friend who is in linear algebra and some other classes, and he sure could use a small cluster of 1.33ghz computers to do some problems if he needed =)
