Did you try the DNS HOWTO from the Linux Documentation Project
(www.linuxdoc.org)?  It's pretty straight forward.  With that and maybe the
O'Reilly book you should be in good.  The only thing I would be concerned
about is the reverse mappings (IP address to domain name).  Getting your ISP
to set up there DNS servers to point to your DNS servers as authoritative
for the reverse lookups can be a pain if the ISP is not keen to this sort of
setup.  The DNS HOWTO has the relevent RFC's and some other resources you
can point your ISP to if they have troubles getting this set up.  Good luck
