[GLLUG] MySQL replication

Anyone done live database replication with MySQL (running 3.23.49 if
that makes a difference)?  Just wondering how robust it is, and how
easily one can switch a slave to be a new master, or point the other
slaves at the new master.

>From the docs on the website, it *seems* like it's stable and not to
hard to use, so I'm pondering the idea of using it in a production
environment... *gulp* 

Any thoughts?
