I am using RH7.3 and 'netconfig' does the configuration for the ethernet
device. The /usr/bin/neat will give you a gui to configure all of the above
(device,dns,routes etc).
This would just put the computer on the network. The windows machines will not
be able to see the directories/shares on the RH system. You will need to
configure samba so that the windows machines can see the directories/shares.
