I don't see why not.  The file you would need to save will probably be
in /boot and will be named 'boot.x' where 'x' is a 4-digit hexidecimal
value that represents the /boot partition. (i.e. /boot/boot.0300 ==
/dev/hda1)

Would it be possible to back up lilo's backup?

And then copy the backup back to where ever the info is stored?

If that is possible, it seems to me that when you uninstall Lilo, it
would restore the original backup.

If any of this is possible, where is the back up stored?
