  Do you mean, you can get it to dial on tone modems here, but can't 
get it to dial on pulse modems abroad? If anywhere in your 
configuration you see 'ATDT <phone number>' to dial, switch that to 
ATDP, and that should try a pulse dial. It's hard to say what to do 
without knowing what you're using to make a connection though.
