I'm using comcast here.  We used a Windows machine for the registration,
then hooked it up to a DLink router, without cloning any MAC address.
Now, I've replaced that DLink with an ipcop (Linux) box, and no problems.
I just got a new IP when I did that.

On a side note, if anyone wants a 4-port D-Link DI-604 router, I have one
available.
