Actually, Lite-On is now the primary OEM manufacturer for Sony's DVD 
burners, hence my "good enough for Sony" comment in my earlier reply.  
The Lite-On drives are actually quite well-built, not as heavy-duty as 
Plextor perhaps, but a better value.
