I'm not 100% sure on what you mean by KDE-based.  Do you want a distro
where KDE is the only wm/de option?  Or do you just want one that fully
supports it?  Especially if you're used to (spoiled by? :-) RPM's, you
should try SuSE or Mandrake.  Both support KDE (but also support Gnome),
and are fairly painless to get up and running as a workstation.
