[GLLUG] East Fork DRM

I'm cross-posting this because I think it's important--and I have not
seen any discussion on it....

People ask me why I've been so negative on Microsoft and Intel over the
years. Well, I've been watching both since 1977--and they've always
been able to live DOWN to my expectations. From processors that didn't
work as advertised (the 286) to stolen code (Stacker in DOS 6), it's
ALWAYS been "Us first, screw the customers and competition"--such it is
with a monopoly.

I've been watching this develop for a while, but it's about to come to a
head--squicky connotations intended. This is a good summation of what
is likely to happen in less than a year; Wintel DRM, Linux (and others)
locked out, and "fair use" down the bit bucket.

"East Fork" -- scary stuff!
