Ahh yes, the lovely DRM hype.  Just like TCPA was the horrible DRM
nightmare that was to be dropped onto users so will this be it's
successor.  Except it's crappy DRM in a media center box, not a desktop
PC.  It does a lot of cool stuff ( DRM excluded ).  No one says it will
impossible to run linux on the beast ( hey they did it on the xbox for
christ's sake ;) ).  Not that I'm one for DRM, but it seems like a big
ole' preachy article about technology that isn't done and won't be
released for some time ( 6-18 months ).

The only big deal with this machine is if people actually buy it.  If
Intel and Microsoft want to team up to make a fortified box to do media
center stuff and market it with heavy DRM that is their choice.  I'll be
the first to laugh at them when it fails.
