Hi, I'm an IT student and have a project involving a
Linux server. It will be a root dns server (the
network will be isolated from the internet), an apache
web server, and an ftp server. I'll be using the new
fedora core 4 as i've heard good things about it so
far and am already familiar with past versions of
fedora, redhat, and suse (i found suse to be very
redhat-ish in some ways). I'm not a Linux expert but
am very comfortable with it at a less
advanced/intermediate level. My questions is, what
sort of partition scheme would be best, and why? I
could easily make it work a couple different ways, by
either doing a simple /boot, /, and swap setup, or
something to the effect of /boot, /, /web, and swap.
What have you all had best experiences with in the
past? Thanks so much for your help!
