Matt,

You might also want to check with ACD.NET or with TDS Metrocom to see what they have available for high-speed Internet connections. I know that ACD.NET has very high speed DSL available, and I believe they can provide a DSL connection farther from a central office than SBC can. ACD.NET has T1s, and they might have T3s too. They might also have fiber available in certain areas. I would suggest checking their website for more information: http://www.acd.net/

TDS Metrocom has very competitive pricing for DSL. It looks like they can also provide DS1 and DS3 circuits. Here is a link to their website:

I personally would not recommend a cable Internet connection for a business that hosts its own web servers, unless you could guarantee service levels and performance with the cable provider. Usually, cable Internet connections are shared, similar to an Ethernet network, and the bandwidth is divided between all the users. DSL is a point-to-point connection and the minimum bandwidth can usually be specified (make sure to check with the provider about this). For a business DSL connection, you will probably want a service level agreement with the telecom provider. In fact, I would recommend any business negotiate a service level agreement that meets their needs with their telecom for any type of business wide area network connection (IP VPN, MPLS, T1, T3, DS1, DS3, OC3, etc.). Don't necessarily accept their "standard" SLA without serious review and consideration, or you might end up not getting the bandwidth or uptime you expect. Having supported a wide area network for four and a
half years, I know a little bit about negotiating with telecoms.

If you are concerned about getting ANY broadband, I would check out

If you are looking for a great map of where the Central Offices are in your
county (including street address), take a look at :

http://www.dslreports.com/coinfo

Hint: Closer you are to a CO, the faster/better access to DSL you will get.

As far as cable modems go -- you just need to pick an area that is served by
Comcast. Comcast rarely goes into business parks, so you might need to
contact them directly to find out if they are in any. (I know they have no
service South of Dunkel, South of Jolly from College all the way to
Aurelius, which is a large business area.)

T1's are available in most of the tri-county area -- again check the coinfo
site above.

Hope that helps!
