I may not be able to make tonight's meeting after all. I got halfway
there and the brakes on my vehicle suddenly and instantly gave out. I
got home safe and sound, but it was definitely scary. Had to pull
almost every trick I know to make the first stop - drop to 1st gear, hit
the parking brake, wiggle the car in my lane to gain extra traction.
Thankfully, I didn't have to blow my transmission (i.e. throw it into
reverse or park). Neither I nor the vehicle are worse for wear.
(They're relatively new brakes too - installed last year - I suspect the
brakes are fine but the brake line could potentially be severed or have
a fluid leak somewhere).

If I show up, it'll probably be quite late. This takes priority.
