I don't have any problems distinguishing between original thoughts and
quoted material, either (except for one time when someone DID trim out
unrelated portions of the quoted text). It just seems to me to be a
violation of netiquette that I find to be a minor annoyance, and I
wouldn't mention it except it is so prevalent here. I thought what I
considered a gentle hint might have a positive (in my view) effect. I'm
certainly not trying to start any flame wars here; I prefer we have a
big, bar-room brawl at tonight's meeting.
