Fred,
I'm pretty sure you have ubuntu installed, right? I'm not certain that it is
available yet through the package manager, but there is a great chance that
it is, which would make it much easier for you to install.
Do..
---
apt-get update
apt-cache search OOo
--
Look for the 2.0.4 version. When you find it, type in
apt-get install <packagename>
Replace <packagename> with whatever the package's name is.
