Julie,
I believe that being a 333Mhz, it should be Pentium II and has a fsb
(front side bus) of 66mhz. It is more than 2 times more powerful than
the one I have. I would add a little bit of extra memory though to run
it better (maybe more 32M) so that you will be able to put in sleep
mode, etc. There are many graphical interfaces for slackware (besides
gnome and kde), I mentioned icewm because it is similar to windows 98
interface. Only the installer is in text mode (driven by menus not pure
text), once it is installed you can use it with any graphical interface
(that is less resource hungry than kde or gnome, such as icewm or
windows maker, etc, and it will run really fast). I would be happy to
install it for you and provide you with the install medias (cds), I can
not make it to the meeting today; maybe next week or on a different
occasion.
